To Hades and back!

So if being sick from pregnancy wasn't bad enough my tooth decided to join in the fun and compete with my nausea. And hands down, my tooth won!
I was in need of a serious root canal and my appointment was scheduled for the 12th but my tooth decided to start causing me inexplicable pain starting Monday night. It might have been some of the worst pain I have ever experienced and I was taking a narcotic for it and it did nothing! I was finally able to get into the Dr. and get it taken care of and I feel 110% better!
Now I am back to good ole morning sickness (or as I like to call it all day sickness). I know many of you can empathize with me. (And those you can't, please don't tell me about it) It's all I can do to not think about it every second of the day. The only time I don't feel super sick is when I am eating, and even then the thought of the food I am actually putting in my mouth could give me(as I call them) "the gags". OK, enough complaining I just needed to vent a little. We are so excited for this baby and I would do this for all 9 months if I had to!
p.s. due date unknown at this time we will know in a few weeks. Think Marchish!

Back with a Bang!!

So, I know I have been gone a LONG time! I just needed a little break and I hope that you all will forgive me and make my blog part of your blogging routine again.
We've been really busy making plans to move and have finally found an place. We were lucky enough to score an apartment at Wymount and are feeling overwhelmingly blessed. The apartment that we are moving into is not available until the 18th of September but Mark will be starting school on the 2nd so we will be moving the 29th of August. We can't wait to see all of our Utah resident friends and family and are excited to call Provo home for a couple of years.
With all the hussle and bustle we have much to be excited about and grateful for but one thing trumps all........I'm pregnant! Emma is going to be a big sister and we just couldn't be happier! I am feeling fine. No sickness yet but if this baby is anything like Emma I won't get sick for a few weeks and then when I do I will be sick half way through the 2nd trimester. But I am trying some positive thinking like......"maybe we will have a boy and I won't get very sick with a boy!"
Ok, so maybe thats all hogwash but like I said I'm just trying some positive thinking! :)
Emma has been growing like a weed and is learning tons of words. She is starting to repeat most words back to us. Marks favorite addition to Emmas vocabulary is one he recently taught her "Peace Out!"

A Call for HELP!

The excitement hasn't lessened here since our blood has begun to bleed blue (say that 10 times fast). Amid all the excitement there are things to do and plans to be made. And who else would I turn to but my bloggy pals for advice when advice is needed. Which is:
Where should we live? As I know many of you are not in Utah county I am sure that you will still have some helpful advice as most of you know someone who lives or has once lived in the "happy valley". We are open to all and as many suggestions as we can take.

How do we find a nice, cute place while we are in Oregon and will most likely have to decide on a place without seeing it first?

Should we brave the dorm life again?

Should we live close to campus or can we find a cheaper place further away?

What price range are we looking at?

Can we find a 3 bedroom for under $800?

Feel free to add any other helpful hints as well.

And PLEASE tell your friends as we would like as much help as we can get!

Thanks guys!

Everything about it is exciting to me. I love to decorate with hearts and red and pink all over. It's my favorite!!! If you want a little help with ideas on some Valentines you should check out Black Eiffel (one of my favorite sites for decorating and other inspiration). I actually entered this card I made in her contest so don't forget to vote either! wink, wink!! The great outdoors and animal sounds

We went on a hike Saturday up Roxy Ann hill just behind my parents house. It's been so rainy lately it was nice to finally get outside with Emma.

She really enjoyed it too. She was talking the whole time. She also got a chance to do some hiking of her own. Yes folks, she walking. She has been for a couple weeks but this is the first chance she has had to strut her stuff out in the wild.

ps Mark thinks this beanie makes Emma look like a hobo.

Speaking of the wild, Emma has been working on her animal sounds. Her first one was the monkey believe it or not. We actually didn't even have to teach it to her, she's a natural! Enjoy!

It'll make you smile

My sister Kim found this song and I have listened to it so many times today that I couldn't help but share it with you all! I can't keep from smiling when I hear it!
Her name is Yael Naim and it's called New Soul. Enjoy!!

HUCKA-WHAT?

This is for you Carrie!!

Tonight we were at my parents house watching updates on Super Tuesday. When Huckaboo (yes, I know that's not his real name) came on the screen Emma walked up to the TV and started growling at him. I only caught the last bit of it but it gives you an idea of how Emma feels about tonights exit polls.

and.....I'm back!

I know it's been awhile...AGAIN! And I will fill you in soon on why it's taken me a while to get back to blogging but for now I am just going to post a few pics of all the fun that we've been having.
We've had so much snow here, it's crazy.

For more snow fun you can check out Spires Family blog

With all the snow we haven't been outside as much so Emma's been doing a lot of reading! :)

She LOVES books!
